Project Details
Robot was built to be only 3 inches tall to maximize scoring factor (smaller robots gain a multiplier) and to fit under field obstacle
Wired to connect to radio controls
Flywheel system with motorized chipping ramp
Conveyor belt collection system
Fully 3D modeled and presented on
Challenge Constraints
Robots must be built to handle all 7 holes while also navigating to the tee spot
Final design effectively navigated the field challenges
Hole 4 could be drove under, while the flexible wheels allowed for navigation through holes 6 and 7
A small robot also received a very high scoring factor for its small size - another benefit of the sleek design
Design Review
A major part of this project was a performing a realistic design review
This presentation (left) included everything from design attributes to sample calculations
Professors and peers were quite impressed
Presentation was used as an example for future classes
This project best highlights teamwork and heavy constraints for a larger scope project
